Chocolate Velvet Pie

Ingredients:

  • 2 Cups (l large package) milk chocolate chips
  • 8 oz reduced fat cream cheese (do not use regular cream cheese, as it is a PITA to mix)
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 8 oz cool whip
  • 1 chocolate pie crust


  1. Bake pie crust for 5 minutes at 375 deg F.
  2. Microwave chips on 70% power for 1 minute; stir; microwave for 30 to 60 seconds longer on 70%. Stir until smooth
  3. Beat cream cheese into chocolate. Add vanilla. Stir in cool whip. If necessary, microwave on for 30 seconds 70% power. Stir
  4. Spoon into pie crust
  5. Chill until firm
