The Story So Far...

Merki's final mission ended in the Draugh kingdom, where he was considered the enemy of the kingdom.

His ally, Agent Midnight, helped him discover some thing that helped them discover some kind of evil influence.

She will help the party locate the resource in his stead, but first they will locate and shut down a Magmere base, about three days out of the capital.

Needed: More questions to ask Circe

The party camps overnight in the desert outside of the capital. In the middle of the night, Hawk and Claire hear the sounds of people skating across the battlefield. By the time Claire wakes everyone up, the ice-based creature named Circe arrives to collect her bounty!

Agent Midnight's weapon jams and she isn't able to contribute much to the combat until Nidri fixes it. Fi gets an idea and hacks into Circe with a Sendrine blade. The weapon almost breaks and it doesn't seem to do much more significant damage than usual. Claire's fiery response earns her Circe's icy attention. The party is eventually able to defeat her, though, by smashing her six simulacrum and knocking her out.

Agent Midnight explains Circe is a compulsive gambler who loves games and moonlights as a bounty hunter to pay down her massive debt. As Agent Midnight restrains Circe, Fi thinks up an entertaining method of interrogation: Flip a coin. If she gets heads, she must answer a question. If she gets tails, she gets a point. Five points and she is freed.
