Brain Dump: Ceelie

So where the heck were we? I think I lost track. The new team? Oh yeah, we all got cool promotions and now we have this new team we're interviewing and stuff, to figure out how we want to work with them and all. Except it's a little weird, 'cause I really shouldn't actually be bossing everyone around. Except, somehow, that seems to be my job now. Oops.

So, yeah, Crazy Nado was first today. He's such a sales guy, it's scary! And I don't even buy things myself! He has all kind of contacts and people he knows. I think maybe he knows everyone in the business world. All of them. It was very confusing, but somehow he keeps them all sorted out in his head. He is very good at talking to people and we decided he would make a great PR guy -- you know, when we have to spread stories to cover up weird things that happen, so everyone doesn't panic. Oh, and we were giving everyone an assignment, to gauge how good they are at what they do. So we needed to give him a slightly tricky PR/cover story assignment.

I think it was Tara who first suggested it, though maybe I thought it at her before I realized I was thinking it. But we have a case that really needs just this kind of work. Emero. I know it will take a long time for him to be whole again, but I know the closer he gets, the more lonely he will be in that cave. At least he felt happy there, but I know we can help him, and I think Crazy Nado will be good at spreading word subtly all over. I really hope he does well at his assignment. I still miss E, every -- oh -- aww, thanks Tara. Yeah, I did need a hug. Alright, I think I'm okay now.

Anyway, our next visitor was RaShae, the Breathless. Poor Tara was so upset. It is very hard to work with someone who is such a total opposite of yourself. I tried my very best to comfort Tara, but it will still very difficult for her to talk to RaShae. She isn't like most other Breathless. Apparently, some guy was doing funny experiments on Breathless (scary) and managed to grant her some level of freedom (good!) from her Sire. I guess they usually have a slavish binding on them, which sounds absolutely terrible. But in this case, this Lord Exion has managed to mostly sever that tie for her. So she has her own free will now, along with enhanced strength, speed and stealth that comes from her Breathless nature. She's not a bad person at all, but it was still terribly difficult for Tara. We could tell when Tara couldn't take any more, and Li asked her to go pick up some things for him. It was a great relief for everyone.

Then we got a call from Vantsa, the merm who is good at research. We had given her an assignment to dig into each of our pasts, and find out who and what we are, and learn as much as she could about us. Partly, it was to see how well she could research, but also to see what information is available (and how publicly) about us. We have certainly gotten ourselves involved in some pretty crazy things at this point! Who knows what is out there about us? Anyway, Vantsa said she could come in the next morning to go over what she had found.

At that point, we were pretty well ready to call it a day. Tara had a great idea that we should go out for dinner, but we couldn't really decide between pizza or chinese. And that is why take-out is an awesome invention! I took Li with me to China and we got some awesome to-go stuffs, and some of the others, I think Lily and Tara, went to New York to pick up pizza. So we had pizza and chinese! It was awesome. I was so stuffed, but I still couldn't sleep, so I redid some of my furniture overnight. The couch really does just look better in the family room, and the two nice armchairs match the coffee table in the living room. Really, the place doesn't have a terribly good flow, overall, which makes it hard to decorate the rooms so there's a consistently flow through the first floor. I really need to talk to D about opening up the wall between the kitchen and the dining room, and putting another open archway into the family room. Not that I get to entertain very often, but I hear open floor plans are the way to go these days.

Eventually, D and everyone woke up, and we headed back to the office, so we could have our meeting with Vantsa. She had found interesting things on some of us, like D's background back in France when he was still Mister Dimanche back in his little French village. And some of his early movies. She didn't have much of an idea about Vivi, other than TOA records saying she's a doppelganger. I guess her clearance isn't high enough to read too much more. Maybe we should see if we can get that raised slightly. Anyway, of course she found all the recent stuff on Lily being the president of MISTIC, and then also her internet following. Should couldn't find a think about Li at all, but we weren't too surprised about that. Then we got to ME! Of course, I always get spoilers so it wasn't too surprising, just a little, but apparently I am called a Wishling. She didn't want to do too much probing into Helen and her family, which is probably better. I don't ever want to be a problem for them. If I were, I would be very sad and work very hard to fix it.

What Vantsa said about Tara was a little unsettling for us. She explained about how Tara's history read like a storybook, just a little too perfect and everything in its perfect place. And it was all the happy-sunny-fluffy version of the Henry stuff, of course. But there weren't any details, of course. We explained how some of it had been woven, and asked Vantsa do dig into this a little deeper.

Then we started figuring out what we needed to do to get ready for the Fateweaver Summit, since that was the next day. Mother Joule had to report in to reclaim her status and all that, but I guess there's some awesome loophole where she is allowed to bring a relative to the summit, and the relative is allowed to have an entourage. So, long story short, we all get to go. We went to talk to Grapha about it, and figure out what we need to wear and whether there's anything in particular we should do, or not do. I don't think there's much else we can do ahead of time, since no one really knows much about what goes on at these. It will be fun!
