  • 8 oz reduced fat cream cheese (do not use regular cream cheese, as it is a PITA to mix)
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 6 oz cool whip (from 8 oz tub, retain 1/4 of it for topping)
  • 1 chocolate pie crust
  1. Bake pie crust for 5 minutes at 375 deg F. (not with oreo crust, as that just makes it more crumbly)
  2. Microwave chips on 70% power for 1 minute; stir; microwave for 30 to 60 seconds longer on 70%. Stir until smooth
  3. Beat cream cheese into chocolate. If necessary, microwave on for 30 seconds 70% power to make easier to stir
  4. Add vanilla and cool whip. Stir
  5. Spoon into pie crust
